Our menus are born from the heat, flames and stripped back elements found at the forge. Whether you stumble upon us for breakfast, lunch, dinner, a Sunday roast burger (yes, you read that right!), or a cheeky tipple or two, we’re almost certain we’ll have something to offer your fine, fine taste.
University of Suffolk and Suffolk New College students and staff can now enjoy a 20% discount off their food bill. As can our amazing NHS staff and other emergency services as a much deserved thank-you! The discount can be used all day Sunday – Thursday plus Friday & Saturday until 4pm (from January to November) when selecting from our main, breakfast or pudding menus.
Discounts may not be used alongside any other offers, set menus or promotions. Staff and student IDs must be shown to receive the discount.
While Bertram Black Esq. and Prof. Eve Hegarty lurk in the shadows (if you have your wits about you, you may glimpse them), painstakingly exploring, tinkering and finessing to handcraft our tastes and tipples, the day-to-day running of this most intriguing independent dining discovery falls to husband and wife team, Grant and Robyn. Their Forging vision is just a 30-second walk from the historic waterfront and marina in Ipswich, home to a spacious bar area, a 2-storey restaurant and an outdoor roof terrace – all marvellous locations for sampling some exceptionally tasty bites and wondrously peculiar potations.
